Energy efficiency rebates are available to members of Osceola Electric Cooperative. In an effort to promote environmental responsibility and energy efficiency, the cooperative will provide rebates on specific ENERGY STAR qualified energy efficient whole house heating and cooling systems. Earning the ENERGY STAR means a product meets strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. Members installing and utilizing new energy saving systems will help protect the environment, save energy and lower utility bills.
Systems Eligible for Rebates
Members of the cooperative may qualify for the following rebates if the cooperative can control the load:
- Mini Split A/C Rebate - $200.00
- Air-Source Heat Pumps:
- 14 seer, Energy Star qualified - $1,200/unit with electric heat backup - Without electric heat backup $800/unit
- 15 seer, Energy Star qualified - $1,200/unit with electric heat backup - Without electric heat backup $800/unit
- 16-17 seer, Energy Star qualified - $1,200/unit with electric heat backup - Without electric heat backup $800/unit
- 18+ seer, Energy Star qualified - $1,200/unit with electric heat backup - Without electric heat backup $800/unit
- Geothermal - Ground Source Heat Pumps:
- $1,000/ton, with loop. Maximum rebate - $5,000/Max
- Replacement without wells - $250/ton - $1,250/Max
- Space Heating Rebates:
- 10 kW or less - $300/unit
- 11 kW or larger - $500/unit
To be eligible for rebates the following conditions apply: Within 3 months of the date of installation, the member must provide a dated invoice from the dealer who installed the heating and cooling system. The member shall also provide the model number, serial number and proof that the system installed qualifies for the rebate.
